Why Olney
Olney is the one place on this list outside Northamptonshire. Eleven miles south of our office down the A509 through Wollaston and Bozeat, it is in Buckinghamshire and looks it: a stone market town on the Great Ouse, with a wide Market Place, a tall church spire and a high street that is almost entirely independent shops.
We go there because those independents are exactly the businesses we build for, and because Olney is well placed for us. It is closer to Wellingborough than it is to Milton Keynes, and a lot nearer than most of the agencies that would otherwise be pitching to it. Half an hour in the car puts us in the Market Place.
How we work with businesses here
The first conversation is best done in person, and we will come to you. Seeing a shop, a practice or a workshop run for real is worth more than a written brief. After that the work goes online: the design shared as a link, changes sent by email and turned around the same day, and the month-to-month looking-after handled from Wellingborough without anyone needing to drive.
If you would rather keep the whole thing online, that works too. Nothing about how we build a site depends on being in the room.
